The Active Communities Learning Festival has been designed to bring together systems leaders and partners, to share what we have discovered over the last five years of the Birmingham and Solihull Local Delivery Pilot. With six-months of courses, resources and sharing, we hope to disseminate our knowledge and learnings to influence positive change in policies around health inequalities in the West Midlands and across the UK.
We have also made some resolutions for the New Year and revised our courses, with full-day sessions that allow more time for reflection and networking with fellow participants, as well as going into greater detail on practical applications of our learning.
Our new courses are as follows:
- Tackling Barriers to work successfully WITH Communities
o The Active Communities scheme works WITH communities, and this interactive workshop will examine how to do that effectively, while tackling any barriers that may appear. The free course will also look at the values, behaviours and approaches used to create effective engagement and behaviour change.
