Explore, learn and feel the woods in our immersive autumn activities.

Full details and timings below;

  • Forest Bathing (Shinrin-Yoku) – limited numbers, so reserve your space
    10.30am – Forest Bathing for Families (all ages)
    1pm Forest Bathing (ages 10+)
    Join Emma (Nature & Forest Therapy guide) on a invigorating connective walk with the more-than-human world. Her practice of guided immersive walks in the natural environment is taken from the roots of the Japanese practice ‘Shinrin-yoku’, and promotes wellness, health of ourselves and each other.   • Meditation and Qigong Workshop in the Nest – 10.45am & 3pm (ages 10+)
    Join Jeanne (from Life Spheres) to practice meditation and Qigong movement inspired by the cycles of the trees and nature from the Chinese Taoist tradition. Experience from the inside of your body how nature connects and revitalises us. Bring a leaf from the forest floor along with you. Limited numbers.
  • Seed Collecting  – short introductory talk at 11am & 1.30pm
    Forage on the forest floor for nuts and seedlings ready to be picked, potted and harvested into new growth and rejuvenation. 
  • Earthwalks – 11.30am & 2pm (limited numbers, so reserve your space)
    Mark will take you on 45- 60 minute sensory earthwalk in the North Woods.
    An Earthwalk is a sensory nature experience designed to immerse you in the natural world. Explore the woods in a new a magical way and feel nature in your hearts.
  • Lichen Workshop – 12.30pm to 3.30pm (Introductory talk at 12.30pm)
    Discover the beauty and importance of lichen at this fascinating workshop with Lucy (an amateur lichenologist and ‘lichen whisperer’). Read more about Lichen by Lucy.
  • Pumpkin and Squash Carving – all day
    Carve and create your own fruit masterpiece to take home (yes botanically pumpkins and squash are classified as fruit). Fruits and tools provided for a donation.
