Foraging is as ancient as our species. We survive today because our ancestors foraged for millennia. In our fast-paced, screen-fuelled world full of startling challenges, foraging open up ways to recharge and reconnect, allowing us to slow down, simplify, detox and boost our personal and collective immune systems.
In this slowing down we allow the footsteps of our ancestors to catch up with us. Wild food is brimming with vitamins, minerals and newly-plucked life force. In our plastic-wrapped food culture, this brings an unexpected sense of connection and completion which truly nourishes our bodies, minds and spirits. What is more, foraged food is zero waste and free!
This is a unique opportunity to learn and share skills which will stay with us for life.
Together we will:
- Learn to deeply love foraging and eating wild food, not just what plants to eat and how to prepare them, but a deeper look into their unique properties and the process of gathering itself.
- Explore how to connect: with ourselves, our food, our communities and our world.
- Create delicious new recipes together and gather useful ideas we can use in our homes, communities and workplaces.
This event is being held at Eden Rise near Totnes, Devon, UK and run by Network of Wellbeing with Dr Larch Maxey, Dan Dawson & Tamara Colchester.
