The Bioregional Learning Centre is convening a multi stakeholder summit, that will bring together representatives of different sectors to agree a collective vision for the future resilience of our region. Note that exact dates are still to be confirmed but this is advance notice for organisatons wanting to partner in the summit. Food, energy, water, health, learning, economy and the arts will all be represented by guilds or nodes from within each sector that can offer case studes and capability towards bioregional resilience.

This is an ambitious whole systems change project that will ask stakeholders from business, government, academia civil society and nature ” What do we do about climate change and the impact it will have on all our lives.

Our aim is to hold a generative conversation that will move into joined up action; bridge gaps between silos; build collective will to make South Devon a prototype region for resilience; and eventually create a distributed network organisation that will take strategy forward beyond the summit.

Day One will facilitate scenario planning by the guilds and civil society. Day two will see government and business invited to look at the previous day’s scenarios and build on them together. It is important that all parts of the system of social and economic life in South Devon are heard equally so that government hears the voice of civil society, business hears the voice of social innovation andthat academia is able to speak with business so that two way flows of exchange are established across the network.

Please note this is advance notice of this significant event. Exact dates and venue are still to e confirmed. Should you want to be a partner in this event please contact Isabel Carlisle at BLC below
