Set up by the Network of Wellbeing (NOW) in 2013, the Totnes Wellbeing Fund is supporting small changes, which make a big difference to wellbeing in and around Totnes, in Devon.

Having supported over 30 projects throughout the years, the Totnes Wellbeing Fund offers grants up to £500 to help new initiatives, which preferably have not yet received external funding, and that could really enhance personal, community and environmental wellbeing locally.

The Most Recent Initiatives We’ve Supported

Recently the seed grant was awarded to three local initiatives:

  1. One Big Happy: An organisation that aims to recruit majority carers/parents to a network of others in this role and provide the support that’s really needed to complement primary care provision.
  2. Arising Beauty: A community of women who are pursuing a culture of self worth, value, honour and integrity. They work with schools, organisations and women’s groups who desire to discover their unique identity and purpose.
  3. Inclusive Totnes: An advocacy network organisation promoting access and inclusion in all areas of town life, including shopping and hospitality, employment, festivals and events, council decision-making, planning and sport. It promotes awareness-raising and practical action to enable and empower people of all ages to work together and build a sense of belonging.

NOW Project Coordinator, Mirella Ferraz, says “We’re looking for people with great ideas that will improve the community’s wellbeing, and who need a little financial help. The Totnes Wellbeing Fund intends to give that help in the belief that supporting small changes can make a big difference to wellbeing”.
