What to expect
We’re gathering to celebrate Lammas, one of the seasonal festivals on the Wheel of the Year. Lammas is the midpoint between the summer solstice – the longest day of the year – and the autumn equinox, and is associated with harvest, gratitude, and release.
This workshop is an invitation to pause and take stock of what’s grown in your life over the last few months. Together, we’ll use creativity to reflect, acknowledge our efforts, and make space for what’s next.
Held at Kiln Workshop’s inspiring space just off Gloucester Road in Bristol, we’ll begin with expressive watercolours, using abstract, nature-inspired visuals like skies, flowers and landscapes. This practice will help you shake off tension, clear your mental clutter, and gently let go.
Then, we’ll move into guided journalling to recognise your progress so far, reflect on your intentions for the rest of summer, and celebrate the work you’ve put into your personal or creative life recently.
Finally, we’ll create small floral and herb bundles as a grounding ritual. This mindful activity gives you the chance to notice and show gratitude for nature’s abundance. It also reminds us of the cyclical rhythm of the seasons, helping you tune into your own ebb and flow.
Expect a calm, welcoming space to reconnect with yourself and slow down alongside like-minded people. And, plenty of opportunities to mark this seasonal shift intentionally.
This workshop is for you if:
- You’re needing a creative, mindful pause during a busy summer
- You like the sound of reflective practices like journalling or painting
- You want to reconnect with nature and seasonal rhythms
- You’re ready to let go of something that no longer serves you
- You want to explore your creativity in a relaxed, supportive space
Your evening overview:
- An abstract watercolour session, creating art inspired by nature
- Guided journalling with prompts focused on reflection, growth, and celebration
- Time to create your own mini floral and herb bundle
- A casual, friendly atmosphere with time to reflect, and chat with others. We limit the number of participants to 12 to make it feel like a safe, welcoming sanctuary
