The Totnes Wellbeing Fund aims to support individuals and community groups in Totnes (Devon, UK) and surrounding areas, offering small seed grants to help turn great ideas to boost wellbeing into reality. Because a small change can make a big difference, we’re keen to support initiatives where a little input from us could really enhance personal, community and environmental wellbeing. Last week, four more exciting local projects were awarded funding by the Totnes Wellbeing Fund: the Aller Park Project, River Dart Wild Church, Natural Art Movement and an Open-no-mic Night.

The Aller Park Project in Dartington, run by David Matthews, provides a centre of education, a resource for the local and wider community and a contribution towards planetary healing and reconciliation. The Aller Park Project is a collective of practitioners with interests in areas such as (but not limited to) cosmology, astronomy, astrology, shamanic studies, subtle earth energies and counselling. Activities are open to visitors on Wednesdays and Thursdays, 10am-4pm.

Wild Church, run by Rev Sam Wernham, is a monthly community event encouraging mindfulness, wellbeing and a deeper connection with the environment. Wild Church normally takes place on the first Sunday of every month, and has recently completed a pilgrimage from its home base in Dartington towards first the source and then the mouth of the River Dart.

Natural Art Movement, run by Katherine Stringer, provides creative development and therapeutic creativity sessions in the South Hams. This summer, a Children’s Art Yurt project is being set up on the Dartington Estate.

Open-no-mic Night, is a new monthly event being set up in Totnes by Miriam Stenning and Julia Brownlow. It will provide a safe welcoming space for people to share their music. Look out for posters around Totnes and their soon to be created Facebook page for more details.

Small changes can make a big difference
