As the acoustic ecologist, Gordon Hempton, beautifully said: “Silence is not the absence of something but the presence of everything . . . It is the presence of time, undisturbed. It can be felt within the chest. Silence nurtures our nature, our human nature, and lets us know who we are.”
And during this contemplative nature connection experience, we will allow ourselves to experience silence.
I will help you first to drop into your bodies and guide you through a sensory and mindful meditation to help quieten your mind and bring your senses to the forefront. We will then each find a safe spot to sit for 20-30 minutes to be present in a non-doing manner, thus fostering the expression of our curiosity, intuition and insights.
And finally, we will take a moment to share about our experiences together in the intimacy of the forest.
In our modern society, where rushing, distraction and noise is the norm, taking the time to slow down, pay attention and be silent can appear first as a challenge. Joining a group can support you with this challenge, as long as you also truly commit yourself to the experience.
About me:
I’m a certified nature and forest therapy guide and ecotherapist and I run regular events to encourage people to reconnect with nature and community, for wellness and personal growth.
For almost a decade, I have been guiding small groups primarily in and around London, in order to connect people to their local environment. The experiences I run are mindful, embodied and relational and my style of guiding is grounded, intuitive and playful.
