One of the aims of the Network of Wellbeing’s work is to co-create and promote activities that demonstrate the value of strong and connected communities. Through these activities we seek to improve community cohesion and enable people to improve their wellbeing.

Over the years the Network of Wellbeing (NOW) has developed a number of projects:

Share Shed – A Library of Things:

The Share shed is currently our main community-based project. The Share Shed is a library of things, where instead of books people can borrow all sorts of useful things ranging from ladders, drills, camping and gardening equipment, house appliances, musical instruments and much more at a nominal cost.

Totnes Wellbeing Fund (2013-2020):

The Totnes Wellbeing Fund is a past project run by the Network of Wellbeing (NOW) that supported individuals and community groups in Totnes and adjacent parishes, to help them turn great ideas to boost wellbeing into reality. Because a small change can make a big difference, we supported initiatives where a little input from us (up to £500) could really enhance personal, community and environmental wellbeing.

Community Potlucks (2013-2017):

Community Potlucks were another past project run by the Network of Wellbeing (NOW). These were free regular events, which provided the local community an opportunity to come together and share a meal, with everyone contributing a delicious dish. They proved to be a great opportunity for people to connect with each other and have fun!

Through these local projects we have been able to connect with many wonderful local organisations and kind-hearted volunteers who have all contributed to NOW’s community work in valuable ways. We are extremely grateful for all the support we’ve received.
