Community action can help improve wellbeing for both those offering and receiving help, highlighting the relational nature of being well.
In a series of three online events the Network of Wellbeing (NOW) and Eden Project Communities are working in partnership to highlight the incredible work being done on wellbeing at the community level. Two of these events will also form part of the Leeds Festival of Kindness, Compassion and Wellbeing.

In difficult times, it is more important than ever to come together. Covid-19 has created much loss and suffering, and has also shone a light on troubling inequality and divisions across society. However, at the same time there are reasons for hope. All over the UK, individuals communities and groups have come together to support each other and those in need.
NOW is running an online series together with Eden Project Communities to explore how people’s wellbeing is directly related to place, community and nature. Together in this series we will invite expert speakers and interactive discussion on a rich range of topics, including: addressing loneliness, creating kinder and more resilient places, supporting the mental health of those engaged in community activism and how nature connection can underpin community wellbeing.
