Complimentary Wellness Walk for our Community Health + Care Practitioners

Health and Care workers have been doing an AMAZING job assisting others during this pandemic; you are to be commended. As part of the Woods for Wellness project run by us at The Woodland Presents CIC, we are offering some complimentary nurturing and rejuvenating wellbeing activities to give back some of that care and support to our local health care essential workers, and to say a massive thank you!

We have organised a fantastic guided walk with our well known professional and skilled nature leader Emma Capper.

Wanders for Wellbeing (Forest Bathing / Shinrin Yoku)
Saturday 5th December 2020 (1-3pm)
North Woods, Dartington, Totnes

Led by Emma Capper (Certified ANFT Nature and Forest therapy guide) from Creative Journeys in Nature

Forest bathing is a research-based way of supporting well-being, health, and happiness. It is becoming very well-known as a tool to reduce stress and benefits the cardiovascular and immune systems to improve mood and cognition. The practice helps switch off the sympathetic nervous system (fight & flight) allowing the parasympathetic nervous system (rest & digest) to come to the forefront.

Emma calls her sessions, ‘Wanders for Wellbeing’ as they offer more than a Japanese forest bathe, and as your guide she will help you slow down, awaken your senses and deepen your connection with nature.

If you’re a health or care worker and would like to join this forest bathe please contact sylvie@thewoodland.co
